You can delete your WeatherMVP account and associated personal data at any time. This page explains how to request account deletion and what happens to your data.
Delete Account In-App (Recommended)
Steps to delete your account:
- Open the WeatherMVP app
- Tap Profile in the bottom navigation
- Tap Settings
- Tap Account Control
- Tap Request to Delete Account
- Confirm — your data is deleted immediately
Request Deletion by Email
If you cannot access your account, email us at:
Include: the email address associated with your WeatherMVP account, and a request to delete your account. We will verify your identity and process your request within 30 days.
What Gets Deleted
Upon account deletion, we will delete or anonymize:
- Your profile, display name, username, and email
- Your home ZIP code and location settings
- Your events and schedule data
- Your check-in history
- Your friends list and friend requests
- Your Stadium Chatter messages
- Your cards and rewards
- Your notification preferences and push tokens
- Your uploaded files and images
What May Be Retained
Some records may be retained after deletion for legal, security, or compliance purposes:
- Content moderation logs and abuse reports (security)
- Aggregated/anonymized venue data (e.g. total check-in counts, not tied to your identity)
- Financial records if any transactions occurred
- Records required by applicable law
Retained records will not identify you personally beyond what is required.
Processing Timeframe
In-app deletion is processed immediately.
Email deletion requests are processed within 30 days of verification.
Deleting a Child's Account
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us immediately at support@weathermvp.app with the child's account email. We will delete the account and associated data promptly.
