Data Deletion Request

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data. This page explains how to submit a data deletion request for your WeatherMVP account, what data will be deleted, and expected timelines.

How to Request Data Deletion

Option 1 — In-App (Recommended):

Open WeatherMVP
Tap Profile → Settings
Scroll to Account Control
Tap Request to Delete Account
Confirm deletion — data is removed immediately

Option 2 — Email Request:

Send an email to:

support@weathermvp.app

Include: your account email address and a request for account/data deletion. We will verify identity and process within 30 days.

What Data Is Deleted

Upon confirmed deletion, we delete or anonymize:

Account profile (username, display name, bio, profile photo)
Email address and authentication credentials
Home ZIP code and location preferences
All events and imported schedules
Check-in history
Friends list and friend requests
Stadium Chatter messages
Earned cards and rewards history
Notification preferences and device push tokens
Saved venues
Notification logs
Uploaded images and files
AI audio name preference

What May Be Retained

Some records may be kept after deletion for legal or security reasons:

Content moderation logs and abuse reports (anonymized where possible)
Aggregated venue statistics (e.g. total check-in counts not linked to identity)
Records required by applicable law

Timeframe

In-app deletion: Processed immediately
Email request: Verified and processed within 30 days
Backup purge: Up to 90 days for data to clear from all backup systems

Minors

Parents and guardians may submit deletion requests on behalf of minor users. See our Children's Privacy Policy for details.
